Fundraising

The PTA provides support to the school in many ways, and fundraises primarily for two funds: the Annual Fund and Staff Support. 

We have committed this year to update our annual grant to the school for the first time in school history to $200,000 - this works out to less than $2 per day per student, or about $300 per year.  As of November 2023, we are only 30% towards being able to provide that grant, with less than 10% of families participating. We are looking for 50% before 2024. Please help us meet this goal today.  For more information, visit our Annual Fund page and watch the bulletin board out front of the school!

The second fund is for Staff Support.  We have an incredibly high teacher retention rate and high staff morale not only because our school is a great place to work, but because our PTA shows its support to all staff with gift cards for birthdays, holidays, and teacher appreciation week, in addition to staff support lunches, recognition events. The WCE PTA Staff Support team also coordinates room parents and classroom parties.  The teachers will attest that other schools don’t have this kind of parent support, and we can only make it happen with your support.  We suggest a $50 per student donation, but any amount will go directly towards teacher appreciation events and support.  For more information, visit our Staff Support page.
