All Member PTA Meeting: SEPTEMBER 12, 6 PM
Join us for this school year's first all member PTA meeting in the library, September 12, at 6 p.m. There will not be childcare for this meeting, so please plan accordingly. We will try to secure childcare for future PTA meetings. 


BOOK IT to the CREEK Forms |  PARTY

We can’t wait to see how many hours WCE students read this summer! Submit your child’s Participation Form by Monday, September 11.  Every child who turns in a form will receive a T-shirt and a chance to enter the raffle to win great prizes at our big celebration! 

KEY DATES

·       Until Sept 10: Kids track reading

·       Sept 11: Online Participation Form (no paper forms this year!) and donations due

·       Sept 29: School-wide BOOK IT celebration

HOW TO SUBMIT READING HOURS?: Go to www.thewcepta.com/bookit and click on ‘Submit Hours’. Don’t forget to check out program and prize details!

PARTY:  We will celebrate with an all-school assembly so we can recognize our top readers and announce the raffle winners. Miles, the Broncos mascot, will join the fun and each grade will enjoy an extra celebration with a bouncy castle, DJ, popsicles and more…

FUNDRAISING: While donations are not required, BOOK IT to the CREEK is one of the school’s main fundraisers - help us ensure ongoing excellence at WCE! Donate online or download a Donation Form (for cash and checks) at www.thewcepta.com/bookit.

WCE PTA Food Pantry

The WCE Food Pantry sends home food each Friday to families of WCE students that need extra assistance. It  is easy to sign up--simply contact your teacher, the front desk, or our social worker Barbara Robinson if you want to receive a weekly food pantry backpack.

DONATIONS NEEDED:

Help us fill the shelves of the WCE Food Pantry before the annual food drive! We are in need of canned vegetables and fruits, pasta and meal boxes, and individually wrapped snacks. Donations can be left in the shopping cart in the lobby. The food pantry is funded by PTA donations, individual direct donations of food or funds, and the annual food drive.

Want to be a Food Pantry Volunteer? Join us each Friday in the cafeteria immediately after drop off! 


WCE FOOD PANTRY ~ DONATIONS NEEDED!

The food pantry is requesting donations of canned chicken, soups, vegetables and fruit, as well as pasta.  We support our participating families year long with weekly food and school snacks.  The food pantry is funded by PTA donations, individual direct donations of food or funds, and the annual food drive. Donations can be dropped off in the shopping cart inside the front (east end) doors.

It is easy to be part of our backpack program!  Simply contact your teacher, the front desk, or our social worker Barbara Robinson if you want to receive a weekly food pantry backpack.
