Annual Fund Giving Drive

Commitment from all families, new and established, is needed to reach our goal of 100% community participation.

We Need Your Help

Every year the PTA is faced with raising $200,000 to maintain the exceptional learning environment for our children. While there are fundraising opportunities throughout the year, the majority of the grant comes from the direct giving of our families and sponsors.

Where Does My Money Go?

The PTA helps to fund paraprofessional salaries (in classroom teacher aides); art, drama, STEAM, music classes; technology upgrades, community events and more. Without support from the annual fund’s grant, the school budget would not support these additional resources and the school experience for our children would be very different.

The Annual Fund benefits our school community in the following essential ways:

  • Staffing for paraprofessional positions in our primary grades, including full-time paras that provide instructional support and other supports that address the social, emotional and behavioral needs of all students

  • Hiring intervention, GT and support staff that serve students in ECE through 5th grade

  • Recess coaches to ensure students are engaged and safe during daily outside time

  • Staffing of a full-time nurse

  • One-to-one technology in K-5 (iPads & Chromebooks)

  • Replacing outdated classroom interactive whiteboards

  • Updates and upgrades to outdated materials as needed (technology, classroom materials, building beautification)

How Much Should I Donate?

Giving at or above $300 per student is essential to meeting our grant commitment. That’s less than $2 per school day. A small amount that multiplies into an amazing environment for our children.

Are Donations Tax Deductible?

Yes! Every donation is tax deductible to as a charitable donation to the full extent permitted by law. The WCE PTA is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Can I Send A Check?

Of course. Checks should be made payable to Westerly Creek Elementary PTA and can be mailed to 8800 E 28th Ave, Denver, CO 80238. If you’d like a receipt for your donation, or confirmation it was received, please include a note with the check or email fundraising@thewcepta.com.

We Can Do This Together!

We need all families, new and established, to reach our goal of 100% community participation. The funding support the PTA receives is critical to bridging the gap between public funding and the money needed to help our students thrive.
